The Organising Committee

For the last couple of years, the long corridors of GNLU have been buzzing with the talk of organizing a moot court competition. It was the natural step up for us after making a mark in mooting circles. It was around September last year when all the talk finally fructified into an idea. That idea was the 1st GNLU International Moot Court Competition. It has been a long six months for the Organizing Committee since. It’s been a period in which we have seen an idea take flight and now we are almost at the end of the journey. Along the way there have arguments, plenty of tension and some hairs turning gray. This being the first time GNLU was hosting an event of such magnitude; the task was all the more difficult. But through it all, every single member of the OC has been motivated with just one objective: to make the 1st GIMC an event everyone will remember. The enthusiasm displayed by each and every member, from the first years to the fifth years, was wonderful to see and to be able to sustain that throughout the six months was more than anyone ever expected. For the fifth years, with just about a month left in college, this was their last hurrah. For them, the research projects, the submissions and the clinical courses no longer mattered. They wanted to leave behind a legacy and this was it. The OC had an amazing time bringing the GIMC together, something which couldn’t have been done without the support of the faculty, the administration and the each and every student. We hope each and every participant has just as much of an amazing time.
